SUMMARY

Over time, human beings have created numerous structures all over the globe that were once thought to be mysterious, such as those located at Cahokia (Illinois) or Chichén Itzá (Mexico) or Easter Island (Chile). In the Polynesian Kingdom of Tonga, the Ha'amonga a Maui was built for a specific purpose. In Peru, at Machu Picchu, as well as Pohnpei, in the North Pacific, Nan Madol was constructed by human beings. In England, Stonehenge was constructed for a specific purpose. These, and other items were built by human beings for various reasons.  Why were they ever considered mysterious?
